How To Dress Like Blade

1. COAT – This Blade outfit has to be one of the coolest costume guides we have ever made and it all starts here, with this incredible full-length trench coat with red lining.

2. VEST – Next, if you don’t want to make your own tactical vest from scratch, then an Airsoft vest is a great option.

3. PANTS – A pair of black cargo pants or regular-fit jeans are just right for this look.

4. GLASSES – We are always looking for an excuse to wear a pair of killer shades indoors and this outfit definitely fits the bill.

5. SWORDS – Mixing martial arts with some hefty firearms, Blade is not afraid to get up close and personal with a pair of katanas.

6. BOOTS – You will want to find yourself a pair of rugged motorcycle or combat boots in black leather.

7. GLOVES – The last thing you want is vampire blood on your hands and these leather motorcycle gloves will prevent just that.

8. LEG STRAP – Finally, strap a spare blade to your leg with a tactical thigh strap and you are ready to hunt down some vampires!

Blade Costume: FAQ

How do you dress like Blade the vampire hunter?

Layer a long black coat over a black tactical-style vest, then add dark cargo trousers, sturdy boots and slim sunglasses. Gloves finish the practical look, while red coat lining adds the accent featured in this guide. The strong coat silhouette and shades establish Blade before you add any costume weapons.

Can you make a Blade costume without a tactical vest?

A fitted black top with a simple strapped costume harness can suggest Blade’s armored torso without a heavy vest. Keep the long coat open enough to show the dark layers underneath. A plain black waistcoat is another budget interpretation, especially when paired with the sunglasses, gloves and practical boots.

What sunglasses suit Blade cosplay?

Choose narrow dark sunglasses with a close, streamlined fit rather than oversized novelty frames. They should sit comfortably while leaving the face’s outline visible. Blade’s shades work with the long black coat as a clear character cue, so an inexpensive pair with the right shape can be more useful than elaborate accessories.

Is a red-lined coat essential for this Blade outfit?

Red lining matches the coat selected in this guide, but a plain black long coat can still create a convincing Blade interpretation. Prioritize the length and clean silhouette first. If you want the accent, a removable red inner panel can add color without requiring a completely new coat for the costume.

Who makes a good Marvel group with Blade?

Gambit, Deadpool and Wolverine make recognizable companions for Blade in a film-inspired Marvel group. Their brighter suits contrast with his nearly all-black vampire-hunter outfit. Keep Blade’s sunglasses visible and his coat open over the dark vest so the character remains distinct beside Gambit’s brown coat and magenta chest design.

How can you make Blade’s outfit comfortable indoors?

Choose a lightweight coat and a costume vest with minimal padding, then wear a breathable black top underneath. You can remove the coat between photographs while keeping the sunglasses and dark layers visible. Simple gloves and well-fitting boots finish the look without making every part of the outfit bulky.
