ABOUT VALERIE GRAY:
Valerie Gray is a student at Casper High who becomes Danny Phantom’s enemy after a ghost dog ruins her father’s career. Valerie firmly believes all ghosts are evil and hunts them down with advanced weapons from Vlad Masters. She develops a crush on Danny Fenton while targeting his ghost alter-ego. Over time, Valerie grows beyond her shallow views and becomes a genuine friend and girlfriend to Danny, though her ghost-hunting remains a core part of her identity
1. TOP – First thing you will need is a simple plain yellow tank top.

3. SHOES – Valerie wears a regular pair of white sneakers.
4. HEADBAND – Next, hold your hair back with a simple orange headband.

Valerie Gray is the quintessential popular school girl of Casper High. Though she might initially be mean and dismissive, there’s no denying that she knows how to dress with style!
This Valerie costume is super stylish and very easy to make at home. Unlike Many of our other Danny Phantom outfits, we could even see ourselves wearing this look day-to-day.

Pair a plain yellow tank top with an orange pencil skirt and white trainers. Add an orange headband, a short beaded necklace and coordinating yellow-and-orange bangles. Triangular earrings complete the look featured in this guide, with the warm two-color clothing combination doing most of the work to establish Valerie’s style.
This guide recreates Valerie’s everyday yellow-and-orange outfit rather than her armored ghost-hunting suit. The tank top, skirt and colorful jewelry make it a straightforward costume using ordinary clothes. Choose this version if you want a recognizable character look without constructing armor, adding a helmet or carrying specialized ghost-hunter props.
An orange straight or gently fitted skirt can substitute for the pencil style shown here. Keep it plain so the yellow top and matching accessories retain the animated outfit’s clear color blocks. Choose a length you find comfortable, then use the orange headband to tie the upper and lower halves together.
The orange headband and yellow-and-orange bangles reinforce Valerie’s clothing colors, making them useful first accessories. A short beaded necklace and triangular earrings add detail around the face. Keep the jewelry lightweight and proportionate, allowing the yellow tank and orange skirt to remain the strongest visual elements of the costume.
Danny Phantom gives Valerie a recognizable character pairing, while Sam Manson and Dani Phantom broaden the cast. Her bright yellow-and-orange clothes stand apart from their darker or black-and-white outfits. Keep Valerie’s matching headband and bangles visible so the simple everyday costume remains specific within the larger group.
Around $30–$65 is a reasonable budget for a basic Valerie outfit made from everyday separates. Reuse white trainers and look for a plain yellow top and orange skirt first. Inexpensive matching bangles and a headband can finish the color scheme without needing a full character costume or elaborate accessories.
