Count Dracula Costume Guide

How to dress like Count Dracula from Hotel Transylvania.

ABOUT COUNT DRACULA:

Count Dracula from Hotel Transylvania is a quirky and humorous vampire who manages a luxurious hotel for monsters. Despite his dark past and protective nature over his daughter Mavis, he is deeply caring and devoted. Haunted by the loss of his wife, Martha, he avoids humans to keep his family safe. Dracula possesses various supernatural abilities, including transformation into a bat and telekinesis, but he also enjoys lighter activities like playing the ukulele.

How To Dress Like Count Dracula

1. CAPE – The owner of Hotel Transylvania differentiates himself from other Count Dracula depictions with his rather fetching black and purple cape, instead of the typical red-on-black look.

2. WAISTCOAT – A plain black waistcoat would work perfectly well but we wanted to bring a little extra gothic charm to this look with a very cool Steampunk-inspired vest.

3. THERMALS – Achieve that slim and elongated look with a long-sleeve muscle-fit thermal shirt.

4. CUMMERBUND – Nothing says ‘immortal being for a different age’ quite like the traditional black cummerbund!

5. PANTS – Just like your shirt, you will also want to get yourself a pair of the skinniest dress pants you can find.

6. FOOTWEAR – These boots are too perfect for this look not to include but really any pointed-toe black dress shoes are just fine.

7. FANGS – Of course, the finishing touch for any Dracula costume is a pair of realistic vampire fangs.

More Hotel Transylvania Cosplay Ideas

More than your typical depiction of Count Dracula, the proprietor of Hotel Transylvania is a nuanced character and father who only wants the best for his teenage daughter.

This is perhaps reflected in the Count’s costume design, with softer purple tones and a slimmer, less intimidating look.
