Harry Lyme, played by Joe Pesci, is one half of the bumbling criminal duo known as the Wet Bandits. He is characterized as cunning yet hot-tempered, often taking the lead in their schemes to rob homes during the holidays. Harry poses as a police officer to gather information about empty houses, showcasing a mix of intelligence and ruthlessness. However, his underestimation of Kevin McCallister leads to a series of comedic misadventures as he and his partner, Marv, fall victim to Kevin’s elaborate traps while attempting to break into the McCallister home.
1. COAT – Begin your Harry Lyme cosplay from Home Alone with a full-length trench coat in tweed or cotton.
2. VEST – Next, you will need a retro-style brown waistcoat just like this one!
3. PANTS – As well as a pair of green corduroy pants to match your trench coat.
4. SHIRT – And a matching dress shirt in light brown.

Home Alone Costume Collection
Wear a gray or brown tweed overcoat over a brown vest and light plaid shirt. Complete the costume with muted gray or olive trousers, dark shoes, a scarf, layered gloves and a black knit cap. White feathers or a safely recreated burned-hat effect will make the character more recognizable.
Cut an irregular opening in an inexpensive black knit cap and place red or dark brown felt underneath it. You can also apply body-safe red, brown and black makeup around the hairline. Fray the edges with scissors, but never use fire or heat to create the burned effect.
Harry gets covered in feathers after Kevin traps him with sticky material and uses a fan to blow feathers over him. Attach a few white craft feathers to the hat, coat and face with skin-safe adhesive to recreate this memorable Home Alone look.
Draw a block-style letter “M” on the palm using red and brown body-safe makeup or a washable cosmetic pencil. Blend red makeup around the edges to resemble the mark left by the heated McCallister doorknob.
Harry is one of the Wet Bandits alongside Marv in the first Home Alone movie. In Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, the pair rename themselves the Sticky Bandits after escaping from prison.
Harry is shorter and typically wears a dark tweed coat, scarf and black knit cap, while Marv has curly hair and a longer brown coat. Give Harry feathers or burned-head makeup and give Marv an iron mark on his face. Add Kevin McCallister to turn the Wet Bandits duo into a recognizable Home Alone group costume.
