Amy Wong is the klutzy, socially-conscious Martian intern at Planet Express in Futurama. Voiced by Lauren Tom, Amy is depicted as a friendly, well-meaning young woman from a wealthy Martian family. Despite her intelligence and academic credentials, Amy is often portrayed as a ditzy, accident-prone character who struggles with her vanity and desire to be seen as a “proper lady.” Amy’s character arc explores themes of identity, class, and finding one’s place in the world.
