ABOUT DOCTOR PSYCHO:
Doctor Psycho is a misogynistic supervillain in the Harley Quinn animated series, voiced by Tony Hale. A member of Harley’s crew, Psycho possesses telekineticpowers and a toxic personality. Kicked out of the Legion of Doom for insulting Wonder Woman, he reluctantly teams up with Harley to regain his villain status. Psycho’s character arc explores his abusive relationship with his ex-wife Giganta and his strained bond with their son Herman.
1. SUIT – Start your Dr. Psycho costume with a black three-piece tuxedo suit. This set also comes with a bow tie, saving you an extra purchase!
2. SHIRT – Next, you can’t wear a tuxedo without a French cuff shirt with a wing collar.
3. SHOES – Break out your smartest and most polished shoes because we are partying in style this Halloween!
4. SOCKS – Doctor Psycho wears a pair of clean white dress socks rolled up high.
5. LAPEL PIN – Place a large red flower pin on your left lapel.
6. WIG – If you have enough hair to work with you could always achieve this look with a healthy amount of wax or gel, otherwise this psycho wig is a great alternative.
7. MARKER – Finally, a black face marker can be used to draw on that striking goatee and unkempt eyebrows.
Doctor Psycho is typically on the B-list of Batman villains so it was nice to see him get some time in the spotlight in the Harley Quinn show.
This is a great cosplay option for any guy who loves an excuse to get suited-and-booted to the nines!

Combine a black suit, white formal shirt and bow tie with a red lapel flower for Doctor Psycho’s animated-series look. White socks, unruly dark hair and a pointed goatee supply the distinctive details. Keep the suit relatively neat so the exaggerated hair and face stand out against the formal clothing.
A three-piece tuxedo matches the approach in this guide, but an ordinary black suit can give a similar impression. Add a white shirt and black bow tie, then focus on the red flower and wild hair. A waistcoat is helpful if available, particularly when you want to remove the jacket indoors.
If your hair has enough length, use your usual styling product to push it upward and outward into an untidy silhouette. Check the shape from the sides as well as the front. A wig is the simpler option for very short hair, but the goal is exaggerated volume rather than precision.
Doctor Psycho’s pointed goatee and heavy eyebrows are useful details to recreate with a cosmetic face pencil. Sketch the outline lightly before filling it in, keeping the beard narrow toward the chin. These dark facial features, paired with unruly hair, help turn a conventional black suit into a recognizable character costume.
Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy make natural companions for Doctor Psycho in a group inspired by the animated series. Add Calendar Man if you want another less obvious DC character with a contrasting costume. The mix of formal tailoring, casual separates and bright villain outfits gives each person a distinct look.
A bright red flower on the lapel and visible white socks are the small details worth keeping. Position the flower high enough to show above your folded arms in photographs. Plain black dress shoes complete the outfit; additional props are optional because the suit, hair and goatee already communicate the character.
