Francine Smith is the caring, sometimes eccentric housewife of CIA agent Stan Smith in American Dad!. Voiced by Wendy Schaal, Francine is portrayed as a former party girl who gave up her wild lifestyle to become a devoted mother and wife. While generally loving and nurturing, Francine has a dark past involving substance abuse, sexual escapades, and even murder. She often clashes with her conservative husband Stan, but ultimately cares deeply for her family.
