Narcissa Malfoy Costume Guide

1. ROBE – Narcissa wears a full-length ornate black robe. Look out for “steampunk” robes for a very similar aesthetic. Note: if purchasing our recommended robe, a number of reviewers have commented that it runs a little smaller than expected. Consider ordering a size up.

2. SHOES – Any black flats or low heels will work perfectly. Simply choose an understated pair that you are comfortable wearing.

3. DRESS – Under her robe, Narcissa wears a full-length evening or cocktail dress. A champagne-colored dress is a great choice as it should have that same gloss finish and also a more flowy fit below the waist.

4. RING – At several points throughout Harry Potter, Narcissa can be spotted wearing a large skull ring on her right ring finger, a subtle allusion to her role as a Death Eater.

5. WAND – This is certainly one of the more unique wands in the Harry Potter world with an ornate hilt and metal decals. Narcissa later gifts her wand to her son, Draco, who in turn loses it in the Room of Requirement where it is destroyed forever by Fiendfyre.

6. HAIR – One of the stand-out pieces of this cosplay is Narcissa’s unique blonde and black hairstyle. If you don’t want to dye your hair, there are plenty of similarly styled wigs that would be more than suitable.
