Puss is an orange tabby cat with reddish-brown stripes and bright green eyes. The Shrek films do not identify him as a specific breed, so orange clothing, cat ears, a tail and striped makeup are enough to recreate his feline appearance.
Puss wears a wide-brimmed black cavalier or musketeer hat with one side curled upward. A tall yellow feather attached to the brim is the detail that makes it immediately recognizable.
Puss fights with a rapier, a slender sword associated with fencing and swashbuckling heroes. Choose a lightweight foam or plastic musketeer sword for your costume and check the venue’s prop rules before taking it to an event.
