ABOUT MALEFICENT:

Maleficent (played by Angelina Jolie) is a malevolent fairy and the primary antagonist of the Disney Princess, Sleeping Beauty.

After Maleficent is not invited to the birth of Princess Aurora, she places a curse upon the newborn that on her 16th Birthday, she will prick her finger and die.

The good fairy Merryweather, although not nearly as powerful as Maleficent, manages to soften the spell, meaning that Aurora will only fall into a deep sleep instead.

How To Dress Like Maleficent

1. HORNS – We couldn’t start anywhere else besides those signature devil horns. This accessory is super cheap to pick up too.

2. WINGS – This is really an optional accessory but a high-quality pair of devil wings can really take this outfit to the next level. We guess it just depends on how much you like being the center of attention!

3. BOOTS – A pair of black high heels will also work perfectly well for this DIY costume but we love any good excuse to wear a pair of seductive knee-high leather boots.

4. COLLAR – Maleficent’s costume is distinctive for both its horns and that evil-looking collar. Because we didn’t want to go for a full-body cloak, we opted for a sexy neck collar instead.

5. BODYSUIT – This will determine how sexy or slutty your DIY Maleficent costume really is. Not liking to make our outfits half-measure, we went for a revealing and sultry leather bodysuit with a garter belt for our boots.

6. FISHNETS – Finally, add a pair of black fishnets and your outfit is ready to rule the night!
